Water transfer printing is a process that enables 2D printed patterns to be applied to three-dimensional objects. The process is suitable for production as well as prototyping. The item that has been prepared to receive decoration is immersed into the water bath and the upward pressure of water causes the ink to wrap around and adhere to the item. After the entire item has been immersed, it is then coated with special acrylic paint. Water Transfer Printing makes it possible to print endless choices of patterns on either flat objects or ones with complex contours without leaving voids or seams.
